England seemed to wake up right after Switzerland took a 1-0 lead in the 75th minute. After the Swiss controlled the match for much of the second half, England went on the attack after giving up a goal before Bukayo Saka’s left-footed strike from the edge of the box bounced into the goal post. Following England’s equalizer in the 80th minute, both teams remained off the board for the remainder of regulation, sending the match to extra time. This marks the second straight match that England will play in extra time, getting a goal a few minutes into the bonus 30 minutes in its Round of 16 win over Slovenia.     Seven minutes later, Jude Bellingham got a pair of shots off. His first attempt was blocked. As he got the rebound, Bellingham’s second shot was grabbed by Somer.
