Solari, the former Real Madrid player and coach, continues his work at the royal club after leaving his coaching role, now assisting Juni Calafat in scouting new talents. He has recommended to the management, led by Florentino Pérez, that the club move to sign Antonio Cordero.
Solari believes that Cordero, who is currently with Spanish club Málaga and will be a free agent next summer, would be a valuable addition to the Merengues.
This comes at a time when the player continues to reject Málaga’s attempts to keep him with a new contract, as reported by the Spanish network “Defensa Central”.
Cordero is on the radar of several French, Portuguese, and English clubs, all eager to secure his signature in the transfer market. The 18-year-old Spanish left winger is valued at €2 million, and Málaga, a second-division club, may opt to sell him in January rather than lose him for free at the end of the season.
